Ocular Prosthesis or Artificial Eyes
An ocular prosthesis or artificial eye replaces an absent natural eye following an enucleation, evisceration, or orbital exenteration. The prosthesis fits over an orbital implant and under the eyelids. Typically known as glass eyes, the ocular prosthesis roughly takes the shape of a convex shell and is made of medical grade plastic acrylic.

A variant of the ocular prosthesis is a very thin hard shell known as a scleral shell which can be worn over an eviscerated or damaged eye. An ocular prosthetic does not provide vision.

Our services include replacing missing parts for the face, noses, ears, ocular orbits or parts of the face, hand and breast. Whether due to carcinomas or accidents, and where grafts are not appropriate, we can fabricate a replacement prosthesis. Using materials that simulate natural skin in color, density and translucency, the prosthesis will seemlessly blend into your natural face, helping you look whole again
