Important Facts to be aware of:
All types of prosthesis are not permanent. They are subjected to the absorption of body oils and environmental conditions that will cause the material to deteriorate. In order to maintain a well designed and acceptable fitting and appearance of your prosthesis, they must be adjusted or replaced when the following signs are apparent.
  • Frayed edges with tears in the material
  • Brittle edges
  • Changes in the color match
  • Will not adhere properly

When any of these signs are apparent, you should have the prosthesis reevaluated for correction, so that your prosthesis is cosmetically acceptable to wear.
